Quarterly Summary Strong Economic Return of 6.7% in Volatile Environment(1) • Grew book value to $14.72 per common share, representing a 6.7% quarterly total return on book value. (2) Beginning with the June 30, 2019 reporting period, the company refined the MSR amortization method utilized in the calculation of Core Earnings, including dollar roll income. The new method includes an adjustment for any gain or loss on the capital used to purchase the MSR and allows Core Earnings to better reflect how the carry earned on MSR varies as a function of 19 prepayment rates.
